HELP: MLP Welcomes Emily Cooley!

HELP: MLP recently welcomed Emily Cooley to our team as a Law Fellow  in our Delaware County office. Emily’s fellowship is generously supported by the Langer, Grogan & Diver P.C. Fellowship in Social Justice. Emily is focused on expanding HELP: MLP’s Social Security disability and public benefits work and they have helped launch HELP: MLP’s SOAR Project.

Prior to joining HELP: MLP, Emily was a Toll Public Interest Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School. During law school, Emily interned at Philadelphia Legal Assistance, the Federal Defender for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Community Legal Aid Society, Inc., and Community Legal Services in areas of law including public benefits, child custody, eviction defense, and capital habeas work. Prior to law school, Emily was a professional musician and helped to develop music programming at the State Correctional Institution at Phoenix and at Project HOME.
